Use your phone on both sides?!
Yota Phone? Use your phone on both sides!
Coming up in CES held in Las Vegas, there is a really cool phone that is being launched. It is “Yota” Dual sided phone launched by Yota.
Yota is a IT manufacturer located in Russia, and for the first time they are releasing its first flagship smartphone to the world.
It looks really cool and it does not seem to be less competitive in hardware compared to other Android Phones. Let’s find out if this is a good phone.
Basic Specs 9 / 10
- 1.5 GHz Krait (Snapdragon S4 Plus) Dual Core Processor
- 2GB RAM
- 12.0 MP Rear facing Camera
- 2.0 MP Front facing Camera
- 2100 mAh Battery
- 32 or 64 GB Storage
It seems the specifications are very high and we think it is fairly competitive. However, we really do not know what phones LG, HTC, Sony, or Samsung will release at the same time and if they have a real blockbuster hardware, so it may be hard for the Yota Phone to thrive in the Android competition. Still, for the first phone they designed and manufactured we think it is really cool so we gave a score of 9 / 10.
Design 7 / 10
Many people would wonder why are we giving the Yota Phone such a low score in design even though it is very innovative. Well, here is the biggest reason “DURABILITY” having a screen on both sides covered with glass is risky, and we know why because we used the iPhone 4 and 4S. These days smartphone manufacturers try to make their phones light, sleek, powerful, but also durable. Almost all manufacturers even including Apple has shown that by their devices. The iPhone’s housing is made out of oxide coated aluminum which protects your phone from scratches. Samsung Galaxy phones are made out of plastic creating there phone durable. However, Yota seems they didn’t consider this. So that is why we give 7 out of 10.
Battery Performance 8 / 10
We really do not know how well Yota optimized the phone to use less battery, but by the size of battery it seems very low even though it has two screens. So until the phone launches we will give out a score of 8
CPU & Hardware Performance 8 / 10
CPU & Hardware performance is really a question but by looking at the basic specs it seems it will give you a great experience, but we really have to wait until it launches.
Overall Average 8 / 10
Based on the information we have been able to retrieve, we gave a score of 8 out of 10. However, until the phone gets released we really do not know how good it will be.
Though, OneTouch Mobility thinks that it won’t be a big game changer in market share, but an innovation that people will get amazed.
